Today’s trip was a long haul into Canada! We heard reports of Bigg’s killer whales way north and sped as fast as we could to catch up to them. This afternoon we took a lovely cruise up San Juan Channel and past the forested northern side of Spieden Island. As we entered the Haro Strait near Stuart Island, we were able to see huge black dorsal fins and exhalations which look like 10-ft smokestacks at the surface.
