About San Juan Safaris
In business since 1995, we are among the leaders in our industry – helping to create and uphold the wildlife viewing guidelines observed today.
We operate three fast, well-maintained U.S. Coast Guard-inspected vessels. Our greater speed gives us longer ranges and more sightings. No one else sees more whales than us!
San Juan Safaris is located in Friday Harbor just steps from the ferry landing on San Juan Island.

Brian, Rachel, and the kids enjoy spending time outdoors kayaking, hiking, adventure running, or cross-country skiing. Whether winter or summer, rain or shine, you’ll find them both either working or playing outside. The San Juan Islands and Pacific Northwest are the perfect location for an active lifestyle.

Our Team
San Juan Safaris is owned and operated by Brian and Rachel Goodremont.
All guides have degrees or backgrounds in biology, ecology, or outdoor recreation, and some are K-12 educators during the school year.
