Great excursion, we saw many orca, the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. We were late getting back & and they contacted Kenmore to delay our flight. more
Whale Watching By Boat From San Juan Islands (Whale Watching)
We took this wonderful trip in September and were very pleased with the helpful and informative crew - they made the trip most interesting. We knew there was no guarantee that we would see whales, but to our amazement, we saw about 40. What a thrill to see the whale jumping out of the water, spinning and flopping with giant splashes. Thank you for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

We were both impressed with the Captain as he did his best to find the Orca pods and the crew that made sure every single passenger was comfortable. Not only did the Captain locate one pod, but three! The crew proved to be extremely resourceful and knowledgeable. My wife and I are already planning our next trip!

The crew was great and quite helpful. I really enjoyed the boat. They found one pod of whales for us and we got to see them very well. I just wish we'd seen some other animals.

The crew was very informative and knowledgeable. It seemed we were kind of far from the whales, but I understand that is the law. The scenery was beautiful!

To San Juan Safaris,
"Thank you so much for the wonderful whale watching trip last
Thursday. We are staying at the Fidalgo Bay Resort in Anacortes
and so it was very convenient for us to be walk on passengers
on the ferry and then connect to the shuttle in Friday Harbor.
The shuttle driver made us feel right at home. Erik was our
captain and quickly took us to the area where the whales were,
stopping along the way to show us an occupied eagle's nest.
The eagle even flew around as if on cue. A wonderful performance.
Erik maneuvered the boat so that we could all see many of the whales
without disturbing them. And they did put on a wonderful show.
We swan many of them doing tail slaps and breaching. One almost
did a cartwheel. Just amazing. Because you have a small boat and
limit the number of passengers, we were all able to get acquainted
with one another and everyone aboard made sure that each of us got to see the show.
Anita, your naturalist, was also wonderful. She showed us the
pictures you have of the different individual whales and explained
their identifying marks. She also explained the voluntary rules that
you have agreed to and gave us much interesting information. She
circulated among all of the passengers and made sure everyone was
having a good time and that we were warm enough.
We will certainly recommend your tours".
